Our PROJECTS

Featured aquarium and aquatic research facility projects

For every challenge, from design to commissioning, we have a solution.

Find below summaries of the international projects we are the proudest of. We provide our clients with state-of-the-art fish tank systems, from public aquariums to marine science research facilities. Every project includes the best automation and monitoring options to match every one of their needs.

It's like aquariological goldsmithing and clock-making. Everything has been thought through down to the smallest detail, and the choice of materials is just top-notch. From a very specific project with rigorous specifications, the final output is just cutting-edge and polished.

Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

  • Monaco
  • Public Aquarium
  • 1 tank 160m3 + 5 tanks x 2m3
  • Total capacity 170m3

The Oceanographic Museum wanted to build a conservation centre for sea turtles, including an exhibition area with an aquarium and a care centre right by the sea.

What we did

  • Produce photorealistic 3D rendering of the project to guide the construction company to achieve their best work

  • Provide full on-site project management support from design to commissioning to ensure quality and client satisfaction

The challenge

Build a 160m3 fish tank with its piping system on the side of a cliff without altering the natural beauty of the site

OIST - Okinawa Institute of Science & Technology

  • Japan
  • Marine science laboratory
  • 431 tanks from 60 to 1500 L
  • Total capacity 30 m3

OIST needed a sizeable fish tank rack system to lead the experimental protocols of its Marine Climate Change, Marine Eco-Evo-Devo and Computational Neuroethology units.

What we did

  • Lead a thorough on-site visit to design a 3D model with double verified measurements
  • Implement our exclusive monitoring system to allow live reporting with a user-friendly interface

The challenge

  • Fit a large number of fish tanks in a narrow space of 190 m²
  • Help researchers save time when communicating about their scientific protocols and results

Paul Ricard Oceanographic Institute

  • France
  • Marine & aquaculture research centre
  • 120 tanks from 30 to 1,800 L
  • Total capacity 105 m3

The Paul Ricard Institute wanted to extend their experimental capacities to develop Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture solutions and reproduction models of endangered marine species.

The challenge

  • Build a flexible aquaculture installation that can fit new protocols every 6 months
  • Ensure strict prophylaxis to avoid contamination

What we did

  • Provide a piping diagram multiplying water inlet and drainage pipes for future experimentations
  • Conduct a hazard and critical control point analysis to optimise flows, technical rooms layout and disinfection measures.

Ateliers Jean-Nouvel / Atlantis 3000 project

  • United States
  • Hotel & convention centre
  • Total capacity 26,000 m3

As part of their tender, the Ateliers Jean-Nouvel, an internationally acclaimed architects’ office, consulted us to produce the concept design of the aquarium of a future hotel in Las Vegas.

Our work included the study of the aquarium exhibition route and storytelling, the initial technical room layout and preliminary piping diagram, and the estimation of the operating costs.
